The trade event brought together representatives from politics, academia, water supply, industry, and government to discuss current challenges and future prospects in the water sector. Topics such as climate adaptation, investments in water infrastructure, the circular economy, and the elimination of pollutants were the focus of the event.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]For SAG, the conference provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen existing relationships and initiate new collaborations. The discussions with representatives of the DVGW, research institutions, and potential project partners were particularly valuable.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;9498&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]Particular emphasis was placed on innovative methods for the removal and degradation of PFAS and other micropollutants, as well as on current developments in water analysis and future regulatory requirements.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Furthermore, numerous discussions confirmed a significantly increased awareness of the research and development activities at Sch\u00f6nborner Armaturen GmbH. The growing visibility of our innovation projects demonstrates that ongoing dialogue with the research community, the business sector, and end users makes an important contribution to positioning SAG as a development partner for the water industry.<\/p>\n<p>For us, one thing is clear: the future challenges facing the water sector can only be solved through collaboration. That is why we remain committed to close dialogue with academia, utility companies, and industry partners to develop innovative solutions for a sustainable and resilient water infrastructure.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #024f9c;\"><strong>Innovation for Clean Water: Sch\u00f6nborner at WassArena 2026<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>On <strong>April 14, 2026<\/strong>, <strong>Sch\u00f6nborner Armaturen GmbH<\/strong>\u00a0will be represented at the DVGW WassArena (Berlin), presenting a forward-looking solution for water treatment with its poster contribution on the project <em>\u201cPlasWaFil \u2013 Plasmonic Water Filter.\u201d <\/em>WassArena is one of the key platforms for innovation in the water sector, bringing together experts from practice, industry, and research to critically discuss current challenges, exchange perspectives, and develop solution approaches. This is exactly where our contribution comes in: Micropollutants such as PFAS, pharmaceuticals, and microplastics are increasingly challenging operators, pushing conventional treatment methods to their limits. With <em>PlasWaFil<\/em>, SAG\u2014together with its R&amp;D partner, the University of Potsdam\u2014introduces a new approach. Using plasmonic, light-driven processes, pollutants are not only removed but actively degraded. The result is an energy-efficient and sustainable technology that can be flexibly integrated into existing systems thanks to its modular design. Our goal at WassArena: to showcase innovation, spark new ideas, and engage in direct exchange with users and partners.
